If you have any comments or suggestions, let us know.

Hey!
I had a question about fundraising. If people want to donate online, how do they indicate that they are sponsoring me for the run? And if the donations are given to me, can they still get a receipt for taxes? I've never fundraised before so I'm a little lost!
Thanks,
Jessica

That is a really good question. I have never done fundraising either. I think though that we will be guided along.

I'm going to try to get people to donate a dollar a mile or something :)
Or maybe facebook groups.

@ Jessica and Ryan

So each runner gets a personal fund-raising page, which you can individually maintain. And there will be a donate option on your page which will indicate that the donation goes to that particular runner.

For instance, try clicking the Donate button in my page from last year here

There is a separate field at the bottom, which indicates the "Runner". Once the donation is made, you will be notified from an Asha volunteer.

And yes, if they need a receipt they can indicate in this page. Or you can always let us know, and we will issue a receipt.

Ryan, Facebook is a good idea. It is good to reach as many as you can for small amounts. You can also take a look at some of the other runner's profile here
